Privacy Policy
This page describes what SSCVeers stores about you, why, and who else can see it. It covers the SSCVeers study app only.
Who is responsible
SSCVeers is operated by SSCVeers, at Patna, Bihar. For any question about your data, or to ask for a copy or deletion of it, contact kumarpushu74@gmail.com.
What we store
The list below is taken from the database schema itself, so it is the complete set of what an account holds:
- your email address and the name you enter at sign-up
- your study profile: target exam, exam date, current level, target score, daily study hours, preferred language, and the subjects you mark strong or weak
- your conversations with the AI tutor, stored in full
- documents you upload, including the text extracted from them
- your practice history: test and quiz attempts, saved mistakes, revision items, study plans, timed study sessions and streaks
- your leaderboard entry: display name, XP, questions solved, tests completed and study hours
- payment submissions: the plan chosen, the UPI reference number you enter and the screenshot you attach
What we do not collect
These are worth stating explicitly, because many study apps do collect them and SSCVeers does not:
- IP addresses or device identifiers stored against your account
- phone number, postal address or date of birth
- any payment card, bank account or UPI credential
- location, camera, microphone or contacts access
There is no analytics SDK, no advertising network and no telemetry in the app. Nothing on any page reports your behaviour to a third party for measurement or marketing.
Why we store it
To run the account you asked for: to sign you in, to keep your study history and notes between visits, to tailor the AI tutor's answers to your target exam and level, to count usage against the limits of your plan, and to check a payment you submit before switching your account to Pro.
Your study data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. It is not used to train anyone's AI model by us.
Who else receives your data
SSCVeers depends on the services below. Each one receives only what its purpose requires:
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock)
- generates the AI tutor replies and the PDF study notes; receives your question, the last 20 messages of that conversation, your study profile and, if you uploaded a document, text extracted from it
- Supabase
- account sign-in, the application database and file storage for uploaded documents and payment screenshots
- DuckDuckGo and Yahoo Search
- when a question needs current information, the question text is sent to these search engines to fetch context
- Open Library
- book search results and cover images; cover images are loaded directly by your browser, so your IP address is visible to Open Library
Two of these are worth reading twice. When a question needs current information, the words you typed are sent to a search engine as a search query. And book cover images load straight from Open Library into your browser, which means Open Library sees your IP address for those images even though SSCVeers never stores it.
Each of these providers has its own privacy terms, which govern what they do with what they receive. We are not able to speak for them here.
The leaderboard
If you take tests or quizzes, an entry is created on the leaderboard showing a display name, your XP, questions solved, tests completed and study hours. The display name is copied from the name you entered at sign-up, so if you used your real name, other signed-in students will see it. The leaderboard is not public — it is visible only to people with an account. Nothing else from your account appears there.
Payments
Payment is a UPI transfer, verified manually by an administrator. SSCVeers never sees or stores a card number, bank account or UPI PIN — you pay through your own UPI app, then tell us the transaction reference and attach a screenshot. That reference and screenshot are stored so a person can check the payment actually arrived. Screenshots are kept in private storage, not on a public URL.
How long we keep it
Your study data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account from Settings erases it immediately; there is no separate waiting period, and nothing is deleted on a schedule before then. Records of payments you made are kept after deletion, without your name or email attached, as a receipt.
One verified fact behind that: the app has no scheduled deletion job, so nothing is removed automatically as it ages. Deleting a document from your uploads removes that document. Everything else stays until you delete the account, at which point it is erased in one operation.
Your choices
- You can change or clear your study profile at any time from Settings.
- You can delete an uploaded document from the upload screen, which removes the file and the text extracted from it.
- You can change your password from Settings, and sign out from there too.
- You can download everything stored about you as a single JSON file from the Data tab in Settings.
- You can delete your account from the same tab. It erases your profile, conversations, uploads, practice history and usage counters, and switches off sign-in. Your payment submissions and the Pro periods they bought are kept as receipts with your name, email and account link removed. If anything about that is unclear, ask kumarpushu74@gmail.com before you do it — deletion cannot be undone.
Children
You must be at least 12 years old to hold an account. SSCVeers does not ask for your date of birth and therefore cannot verify age; if you believe an account belongs to someone below that age, contact kumarpushu74@gmail.com and it will be removed.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it. Continuing to use SSCVeers after that date means the updated policy applies to you.
