Cookie Policy
SSCVeers stores three things in your browser. All three are needed for the site to work, and none of them tracks you. This page lists them exactly.
What is stored
- sb-… cookies
- keeps you signed in; set by the authentication provider — strictly necessary.
- theme (local storage)
- remembers whether you chose light or dark mode — strictly necessary.
- ssc-timer-storage (local storage)
- remembers your study-timer settings between visits — strictly necessary.
The sign-in cookies are set by the authentication provider named in the Privacy Policy. The other two are local storage, not cookies: they stay in your browser and are never sent to a server.
What is not stored
There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no pixel, no tag manager and no third-party script of any kind on any page. The only scriptSSCVeers injects is the one that applies your saved light or dark theme before the page paints, so the screen does not flash. Nothing measures how you use the site or reports it anywhere.
Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner exists so you can refuse the optional cookies. There are none here to refuse. Turning off the sign-in cookies would mean you cannot sign in, and the two local-storage keys only remember your own display and timer preferences. Showing a banner with nothing behind it would be theatre, so we do not show one.
If that ever changes — if any measurement, advertising or embedded third-party feature is added — this page will be updated and a real preference control will be added with it.
Removing them yourself
You can clear cookies and site data for SSCVeers at any time from your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and resets your theme and timer preferences to the defaults. Nothing in your account is lost — study history, notes and payments live on the server, not in your browser.
If your browser blocks storage entirely, the site still loads: the theme script and the timer both fail quietly and fall back to defaults. Sign-in, however, needs cookies.
